Multi-species services

Animal Hospital of South Milwaukee is proud to introduce additional services to not only our furry canines and felines but also to feathery avians, furry pocket pets and scaly exotics. Our head veterinarian, Dr. Murphy has an extensive experience working with the multitude of species and welcomes them all to our doors.

Diagnostic

Animal Hospital of South Milwaukee offers a wide variety of diagnostic tools for our patients. This includes our in house blood machines and laboratory, as well as a radiography system. We are also working alongside Belle City Veterinary Hospital to extend their digital ultrasound capabilities for the convenience of our patients. In conjunction with our paperless digital medical records, we are able to make full use of telemedicine consults with specialists located anywhere in the country. With these tools at our disposal, we have an even greater capability to diagnose diseases.

Treatment

An isolation ward has been designed at the back of our facility to fully separate sick patients from our healthy ones. The ward is self supporting with intensive care capabilities such as a dedicated fluid pump, treatment cages and treatment supplies. Animal Hospital of South Milwaukee also keeps a complete inventory in our pharmacy as part of our treatment capabilities. Partnering with one of the largest medical suppliers in the country, also allows us to receive supplies within a short notice and promptly fulfill our clients’ needs.

Surgical

Animal Hospital of South Milwaukee’s surgical suite is ready and available for not only routine surgeries but uncommon ones too. Equipped with modern surgical monitoring equipment and the latest anesthetic protocols and tools, our experienced veterinarians are able to perform a variety of different surgeries. In addition, the orthopedic surgical experience of Dr. Brian Ray from Belle City Veterinary Hospital is available as a visiting staff surgeon for our patients that require it.
